Predictors of Obsessive Compulsive Disorder in Clinical Population

The current study aimed to investigate the relationship of family environment and parental bonding with controlling compulsions (cc) obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD). also predictive value for OCD. Sample consisted 130 diagnosed patients OCD (65 males & 65 females) within age range 20-50 years. Three measures were used gather data - Family Environment Scale (FES), Parental Bonding Instrument Mother Father (FBI-F PBI-M) subscale Obsessions Controlling Compulsions Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder Symptom Checklist (OCDSC). Results showed significant between cc personal growth system maintenance dimensions FES (r = .28** .21*). Negative correlation overprotection/controlling in both father mother was found.
